Anyone know anything about the Chevy Spark?

First the basics:

I require a car with 2 doors. I do not need room for cargo or passengers.

My price range is pretty much whatever I want it to be--I could buy a Jeep Wrangler for $25,000, I just don't want to.

I will only buy a manual transmission.

New or used: I honestly can't decide. I know it would be a good idea to get a 3 year old used car, but the 2013, 2014 Sparks were terrible apparently. Plus I don't know how I feel about the unknown--what did the previous person do to the engine and whatnot

Type of vehicle: Small but tall

Must haves: Truly the only must have is the manual transmission

Intended use: Daily Driver--~50 min round trip commute daily
